App Privacy – Game Saves via Google Play Games (Cloud Save)
Our mobile app stores game progress exclusively via Google Play Games (Saved Games / Cloud Save). We do not run our own game-save servers.
What we process: game save data (e.g., progress, settings) for synchronization across devices.
Purpose & legal basis: app functionality (enable save/restore & device sync); performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Tools/Recipients: Google Play Games (Saved Games / Cloud Save) – storage and synchronization of game progress (Google Ireland Limited; where applicable Google LLC, USA). Transfers may rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (DPF) and/or EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
Retention & deletion: game saves are stored in your Google account via Google Play Games. You can delete your cloud saves yourself at any time in Google Play Games / your Google account. If you need help, contact us at info@bffgames.org.
Privacy Notice – Prize Draw
What do we use your data for? We process your name and email address (and, if you win, your shipping address) solely to carry out the prize draw: record entries, notify winners by email, and deliver/fulfil the prize.
Legal bases
- Participation & drawing: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR)
- Prize fulfilment/shipping: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR)
- Legal obligations (e.g., proof/tax): Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR, where applicable
No marketing without separate consent.
Tools/recipients we use
- Google Workspace (Google Sheets/Drive) – storage/organization of prize draw entries (Google Ireland Limited; where applicable Google LLC, USA).
- Google Analytics (anonymized IP) – website audience measurement.
- Meta/Facebook Pixel, Audience Network & Lookalike Audience – ad measurement/delivery on Facebook/Instagram.
Personal data may be transferred to Google and Meta. Transfers to the USA are based on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (DPF) and, where required, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) with appropriate safeguards. A summary is available upon request.
Retention period
- We delete your prize draw data no later than 6 months after the end of the prize draw.
- Shipping data is deleted after delivery. Statutory retention obligations remain unaffected.
- App game saves are controlled by you in Google Play Games and can be deleted by you at any time (see section “App Privacy – Game Saves”).
Your rights
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, and withdrawal of consent (with effect for the future). You can contact us at any time at info@bffgames.org.
Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Austria: Austrian Data Protection Authority, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb@dsb.gv.at, www.dsb.gv.at.
Terms of Participation (Short version) – Prize Draw
- Who can participate? Persons aged 14 or older.
- How many entries? One entry per person.
- Entry period: from 6 Oct 2025 to 19 Dec 2025 (each until 23:59).
- Prizes: 1× board game “Hidden Leaders”. No cash redemption or exchange.
- Drawing: Random drawing on 20 Dec 2025.
- Notification: by email within 7 days after the drawing.
- Response: Please respond within 7 days; otherwise we will redraw.
- Shipping/collection: Arranged via email; shipping only within Europe.
- Fair play: We may exclude entries in cases of abuse, multiple entries, or false information.
- Liability: No liability for technical malfunctions or delayed emails.
